Alan Nevins started his career working for the famed super-agent Irving “Swifty” Lazar. Lazar made him a partner – a first in his 80 year career. Five years later Nevins founded Renaissance Literary & Talent with two Hollywood based literary agents and they acquired the famed Irving Paul Lazar Agency and H.N. Swanson Agency, supplying material to publishers and the film/television community. After a three-year stint associated with Artists Management Group, Nevins cut a deal with music and film management company, The Firm, to create a literary division based upon his longstanding relationships in Hollywood, London and New York. Nevins departed in 2008 and re-established Renaissance Literary & Talent and the company grew. His literary clients range from David Eisenhower and Julie Nixon Eisenhower to Goldie Hawn, Cher, Marlee Matlin, Patricia Gucci, Joan Collins, The Estate of Ann Rule and Heidi Murkoff, the creator of the internationally recognized What to Expect series of books, podcasts, television and feature films. Nevins, alongside his clients, executive produced the feature film What to Expect When You’re Expecting starring Cameron Diaz and Jennifer Lopez. In personal representation, among others, Nevins represents national radio show personality, stand-up comic and TV personality Rickey Smiley and represented Duane & Beth Chapman of Dog the Bounty Hunter from Season 3 through Season 8 and the Hillstrand Brothers from The Deadliest Catch.
Joey Santos was raised in NYC, Malibu and the West Hollywood Hills. He is son to film and television actor Joe Santos. His mother Mary was a showgirl who became a “stay at home mom” and a wonderful cook who loved hosting lavish parties in their homes, where she entertained everyone from movie stars and entertainers to old friends and family - a trait clearly passed onto Joey. His Grandmother Rose was a business woman who owned nightclubs in NYC, Havana, Miami and Los Angeles and started a record label and film studio as well. Following a bit in his dad’s footsteps Joey landed a recurring role on NYPD Blue as Officer Aiello, acting in stage plays (Griffin Loves Phoenix and The Sunset Normandie ) followed by a couple of years of acting study at the Beverly Hills Playhouse. Following in his grandfathers’ footsteps, the revered and beloved Latin singer, Daniel Santos, Joey embarked on a short-lived singing career, having recorded a couple of CDs and performed in various venues in NYC, Los Angeles and South Beach. Later, he became a restaurateur and co-owner of El Mocambo in Los Angeles, owned and was the chef at JoJo’s Americana Supper-club in Saugatuck, and once again in West Hollywood with JoJo’s Juke Joint. All this led him to a thriving career catering/hosting events for Hollywood’s elite, writing as a columnist for The Eden Magazine and, for the past four years, working as the Private Chef to Brad Pitt.
