A love of beauty started at an early age for entrepreneur and makeup artist, Laura Geller. As a teen, she accompanied a friend to cosmetology school where the instructor immediately recognized her artistry talent and extraordinary gift to connect with her clients. As a New York City makeup artist, Laura was offered the exciting opportunity to work behind-the-scenes on Broadway stars and broadcast personalities. It was there that she became a sought-after expertto those reliant on her innate ability to create any look. At this time, Laura expanded her business by opening a highly successful Upper East Side makeup studio that she operated for more than 20+ years. When the opportunity to create her own line presented itself, she was up for the task under the condition the formulas delivered exceptional multi-tasking abilities and a flawless complexion. Starting with the essential foundations she created the iconic Spackle and Balance-n-Brighten formulas that continue to be award-winning best-sellers today. Laura launched her brand on QVC 25 years ago and remains the longest-standing color cosmetic brand on the shopping channel, famous for its makeup assortment that work for real women. Her uncomplicated, mistake-proof and fun approach to makeup has resulted in a following of “Geller Gals” who rely on her for straight-shooting advice and easy-to-use products that work–no master’s degree necessary!

In addition to her regular appearances on QVC and presence throughout media, Laura is a strong advocate of women and gives back to many women-based organizations and charities. A Research Grant was established in Laura’s name on behalf of Joan’s Legacy as a result of her raising 1M dollars from Brow Makers sales on QVC. She was also honored by the City of Hope in 2011 for her charitable actions and cancer fundraising. Other organizations that have acknowledged Laura’s tireless work in the beauty industry and for women in need include CEW (Corporate Empowerment for Women) and Cancer & Careers. Laura continues to embrace women of all ages and backgrounds with recent campaigns including Beauty 2 The Streetz, Beauty-n-Broadway and the brand’s announcement to embrace and increase visibility for women over 40. Laura lives in Manhattan with her son, Daniel and dog, Gigi (named after the Geller Girls of course!)
